SAUGERTIES, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A man in Saugerties was arrested following a menacing incident, according to police. Marlon Galdamez-Navarrette, 41, is facing multiple charges. On July 15 at 12:28 a.m., police responded to 79 Livingston Street in Saugerties for a report of an intoxicated man making threats of violence with a knife, allegedly telling the victim he was going to kill them. Upon arrival, officers took Galdamez-Navarrette into custody, and police say he was non-compliant during the arrest. While being processed at Saugerties Police HQ, police say Galdamez-Navarrette refused to be finger printed and reportedly urinated on the booking room floor. SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The champion thoroughbred racehorse Funny Cide, winner of the 2003 Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes, has passed away. He was 23 years old. He also was only the 30th horse in history to win the first two legs of the Triple Crown. Funny Cide retired in 2008 to Kentucky Horse Park, where he is enshrined in their Hall of Champions. The park announced that he passed away on July 16 from complications with colic. City of Los Angeles announces cooling center locations amid record-breaking heatwave

The City of Los Angeles has opened dedicated cooling centers at many locations throughout the city as temperatures remain at or near triple digits. According to the city’s Emergency Management Department, the following locations will be open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.: Fred Roberts Recreation Center, located at 4700 South Honduras Street in Central Alameda Highland Park Recreation Center, located at 6150 Piedmont Avenue in Highland Park Canoga Park Senior Citizen Center, located at 7326 Jordan Avenue in Canoga Park Mid-Valley Senior Citizen Center, located at 8825 Kester Avenue in North Hills According to the Emergency Management Department website, the Canoga Park Senior Citizen Center location will be closed on Monday due to planned repairs.In addition, department officials announced on Twitter that several L.A. 2 victims robbed, assaulted with bat in Westlake; police looking for 3 suspects

Authorities are searching for three suspects after two individuals were robbed and assaulted with a bat in Westlake. According to the LAPD, officers responded to the area of 8th and Alvarado Streets on reports of a stabbing around 2:30 a.m. Sunday morning. Upon arriving on scene, units found two victims who had been assaulted with a bat but confirmed that no stabbing had occurred.  2 Regional Mexican musicians detained at gunpoint by LAPD; manager arrested One victim had their cell phone stolen from them, and both were transported to a local hospital in unknown conditions. The suspects were only identified as two Hispanic men and one Hispanic female.  According to police, they may have been driving a 4-door white Chevrolet SUV. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the LAPD.Luis Zuniga contributed to this report.

(KRON) -- A correctional deputy died in the fatal crash on Highway 87 in San Jose early Saturday morning, the Santa Clara Sheriff's Office confirmed to KRON4.
